Immersion Days
AUTUMN 2025
Year 4 - 'Veni, Vidi, Vici'
Wednesday 5th November 2025
During our Immersion Day in Year 4, the children were immersed in learning about how water was transported during the Roman times.
Using cereal boxes, we designed, planned and made aqueducts with cobbled stone work.
We learnt that aqueducts helped to keep Romans healthy by carrying away used water and waste, and they also took water to farms for irrigation.
The children thoroughly enjoyed testing their aqueducts with water to see if the system worked.

Year 2 - 'Time Travellers'
Thursday 6th November 2025
Year 2 enjoyed a fabulous workshop from ‘History Off the Page’ for their Immersion Day. So much fun was had by the children and it was all educational! Learning about Florence Nightingale during the Crimean War and the various roles within a hospital during that time.

Year 3 - 'What a Saga'
Thursday 6th November 2025
We had a very victorious Viking Immersion Day in Year 3!
We learnt about the vicious Vikings, their time period and various facts along the way. Did you know that Viking helmets didn't really have horns? This is a myth. We also began our epic art project for this half term - looking at Viking art and the detail they would include. We designed and created our very own dragon eyes out of clay.

Year 1 - 'Celebrate With Me'
Friday 7th November 2025
Year 1 have enjoyed their royal-themed Immersion Day! To get us ready to learn about some famous royal monarchs, we have made our own crowns and enjoyed a royal tea party as well as dressing up as a royal! It has been very exciting and we cannot wait to learn more about them.
